14 DAYS OF LOVE - DAY #11 PROMPT

Time is really going along fast these days, isn't it?  3 more days until Valentine's Day.  Love is in the air, spring is just around the corner and today we have something fun swirling around in our heads.

TODAY'S PROMPT:

Favorite Love Song/Lyrics

Nothing says Valentine's Day and expresses love better than a great love song. Hearing a particular song can evoke wonderful memories.  We want you to express that song in your journal today, whether you recount the lyrics in full, express the title, or the meaning behind the song that is important to you.  However you say it, sing it or express it, we know it will be wonderful.

Here are our interpretations of today's prompt.  Be sure and share your journal pages created in response to this and our other 14 Days of Love prompts in the February photo album on the group feed at Artful Journeys!

* * * * * * * * * * * *

BETTY RICHARDSON - I knew weeks ago what song I wanted to depict, and I knew something vintage or ethereal would do it.  My song selection for today's prompt is "Remember When" by Alan Jackson.  I love that song, and I love, love, love me some Alan Jackson. <swoon>.

This page is in my Canson Mixed Media journal. I started by finding a saved image from the front of a Victorian Trading Company catalog.  Isn't she lovely?  She was applied to the page with fluid Gel Matte Medium.  I tore up some Bach sheet music that was sent to me by Lynn Jackson and applied all around the edges of the page with matte medium, smoothing with a plastic card to prevent bubbles or warping.

Next, I applied a thin coat of white gesso over all the music and partially into the image. Blast with heat gun.  Then, using acrylic craft paints in Taupe, Khaki and Burnt Umber I applied each individually all over the page and around the central image with a cosmetic sponge to create a softer "framing".  Lastly, a little more white gesso to further soften the edges and the image.  I applied some fancy lace decorative tape around the edges, and lettered the song title and artist with a black Signo Uniball pen and highlighted with a white Signo Uniball.   Start to finish: 1 hour.   I hope you get this song stuck in your head.  It's a great one.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

MELODY ELZY - As you can see I couldn't decide. And yes, they ARE all 80s songs. Background was made for day 1 of the 14 days. Lyrics were were written in bits and pieces on good old fashioned notebook paper just like when I was in school. This prompt was soooo much fun!!!!!!

* * * * * * * * * * * *

TAMIE RODRIGUEZ WILSON - Today's song was easy for me.  "Faithfully" by Journey.  "Our" song.  An easy choice for me as it means something special to me and the hubs.  Created on a lined 4x6 index card with red and black pens.  I can add it into my journal easily and will be a constant reminder to me of how much my man means to me.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

We hope you enjoyed our impressions and interpretations of today's prompt.  We can't wait to see the genius that you create!  Don't forget to share your pictures on the Artful Journeys group feed!

14 DAYS OF LOVE - DAY #10

Can you feel it?  All that LOVE in the air?  The television airwaves are filled with candy, flowers, giant teddy bears.  The radios are all playing all our favorite love songs.  The men are starting to panic.  But not us, we are sharing and showing love with great gusto at Artful Journeys!  If you haven't joined in the fun, please do!  We love to encourage you, cheer you on and help support your creative endeavors.

Today's Prompt:  Use a Vintage Valentine or create one!

If you don't have any REAL vintage valentines laying around in your stash, you can find 100's on Pinterest, at the Graphics Fairy and other sites. Try googling "Vintage Valentine Images" and you will get so many to choose from it will boggle your mind.  Find one you like, print it out in color, or print out a vintage valentine illustration and color it your way.  Create something fun, re-create a special memory from childhood, or go a whole new direction!

Here's what we did in response to this prompt:

* * * * * * * * * * * *

TAMIE RODRIGUEZ WILSON - I used a couple pinks, reds and brown acrylics for base background and stamped hearts with pink ink. I added two foil red hearts and rubbed a black wax pencil around them. Then I printed out a vintage Valentine on photo paper and fussy cut it out. I stamped the sugar skull on old book paper, colored in with gelli pens, Wrote on hearts with a white pen. Added ribbon and fiber and voila!  A vintage Valentine--my way!  Thanks for looking!

* * * * * * * * * * * *

BETTY RICHARDSON - Today I used a red Staedtler Aquarelle crayon to add some color to the background page in my Graphique pocket journal.  Using a couple of paper doilies, I glued them to the page, then added an Inkadinkadoo rubber stamp (just because I liked the swirly nature of it).  The vintage Valentine that I added I found in my favorite junque shop over in Point, Texas tucked inside a letter written and postmarked on February 10, 1939.  On the back it said "To Momma from Joann."  Isn't she adorable?  I so wish we could find Valentines like this today for sale.  The ones I see in the store, are... well, boring and pretty much ugly in my estimation. Not like "the good ole days" when I was a child.  Anyway, I adhered her to the page, outlined with black china marker and smudged that with a pencil eraser dedicated solely for this purpose. On the left I journaled a few snippets of Valentine Memories from my childhood and edged the page with a black Signo Uniball pen.  Not the best page I ever made, but I kind of like the crude and childlike methods and overall appearance.  Those doilies and that Valentine remind me of fun times as a child getting and sending Valentines, making Valentine Boxes and bags and all the fun it really was.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

We hope you enjoyed looking at these interpretations. Let's see what you do!  Be sure and share them with us over at ARTFUL JOURNEYS!

14 DAYS OF LOVE - DAY #9

Day 9.  Only 5 more to go on the countdown.  Are you keeping up?  If not, no worries.  Everything we do art Artful Journeys is at your own pace. No pressure, no deadlines.  This is supposed to be fun, so relax and go with flow.

Today we have a prompt, and an alternate for you.

PROMPT #9 - Journal in a negative heart space.

ALTERNATE:  Depict your "best" or "favorite" Valentine's Day Memory

* * * * * * * * * * * *

MELODY ELZY - I did this prompt in my small Dylusions journal. I started with a base coat of gesso scraped on with an old gift card, then penciled in my heart. Using a round brush and black gesso, I outlined the heart. Then I grabbed my small Dina Wakley brush, and my Liquitex Basics acrylics in Titanium White and Alzarian Crimson, and began applying the two in horizontal and vertical strokes all around the heart. My quote is, "Your weirdness will make you stronger. Your dark side will keep you whole. Your vulnerability will connect you to the rest of our suffering world. Your creativity will set you free. There is NOTHING wrong with you. -AndrĂ©a Balt

* * * * * * * * * * * *

TAMIE RODRIGUEZ WILSON - I glued some tissue paper hearts onto my index card. Used a micron black pen to write "You Are My Sunsine" in the hearts.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

LYNN JACKSON - it says..  Roses are red. It's simple, never lie to someone who trust you, and never trust someone who lies to you.

This is just on a piece of Canson mixed media paper with a little lime green in the background and pink painted hearts on the bottom. Thanks for looking.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

BETTY RICHARDSON - Recall that I did a bunch of journaling in a negative heart space already for Day #4, that I covered with a large heart and brad making a "cover" over my journaling.  ------------------>>

So for today's prompt, I tried to incorporate solid and negative space hearts, and remember a very special Valentine's Day.

Working in my Graphique pocket journal, I scraped on a very thin coat of white gesso, followed by 2-3 coats of Bright Magenta craft acrylic. While wet, I used the edge of the plastic card to score some lines in the paint revealing the white gesso underneath. Lettering with bold, black Signo Uniball pen. Acrylic stamps by Inkadinkadoo.  The date inscribed in the negative space hearts was indeed a very special Valentine's Day for me. My husband actually thought outside the box and made it a really special day. Some personal journaling will follow.

We hope that you enjoyed viewing our responses to today's prompts.  Be sure and show us your creations over at Artful Journeys by adding them to the February Photo Album.

ARTFUL JOURNEYS Week #6 Journal Prompt

Six weeks into the year already.  Valentine's Day is looming ahead.  We hope you are enjoying our 14 Days of Love prompts that will continue through Valentine's Day, but our 52 weekly prompts aren't stopping.  We just want you all to have plenty of ideas, plenty to do and we want to keep you excited about working in your journals and having a lot of fun.  We hope you are learning some new techniques and ways to creatively express yourself.

Our prompt this week:  FAVORITE PET / ANIMAL(s)

Remember that special pet you had when you were a child?  Do you have very special memories of a current pet, or one that has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge?  Are you enamored with a certain species?  Are you into exotics?  Have an unusual pet?  Are you just an animal lover in general?  Then this is a great prompt to share that love and honor the animal(s) of your choosing.

Here are our takes on this subject this week....minus one.  Betty is running behind, but will have something sometime this week to share with you on the group feed.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

TAMIE RODRIGUEZ WILSON

* * * * * * * * * * * *

MELODY ELZY - Dedicated to our late rat terrier, Daisy. The dog and matching flowers are a gelli print I did a while back....the colored flowers are a freebie from Terri Kahrs.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

LYNN JACKSON -  This is Trouble Paslay, a frisky and interesting Guinea Pig that belongs to my grandson.  I  got him about a year ago when his first pig went to heaven.  He is a very sweet pet but sure does eat a lot. We hope he is with us for a long time to come.   I used pink acrylic paint and a flower stencil for the background and black stickers for his name.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

We hope that you enjoyed looking at our versions of this week's prompt and that you may get some inspiration from what we've created.  Please share your journal page with us in the February Prompt Album over at Artful Journeys.  Add a brief description and your image will automatically post and show up on the group feed.

14 Days of Love - Day #8

Today's prompt may confound some of you.  Some of you may know instantly what you want to do. Others may have to ponder this for a bit. It is simple, really.

PROMPT:  "ONE WORD"

This prompt is not unlike selecting a touchstone word for the year.  We want you to find one word that expresses love to you or that is meaningful to you in a loving kind of way. Express it artistically, literally or however you want to do it.

You can make an entire journal page about this single word, use that same word over and over, create art around the word or incorporate the word as part of you art.  Whatever it is that you decide is perfectly fine...because it will be meaningful to you.  No other explanation is required, right?

Here's our take on this prompt.  We hope you can draw some inspiration or find a path all your very own.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

TAMIE RODRIGUEZ WILSON - Created on a 4x6" lined index card with red acrylic paint. Drew out my word "Love" in a black wax pencil, drew inside with big white stampin' marker. Added some red dots on the white with red ink joy pen.  Love rules!

* * * * * * * * * * * *

LYNN JACKSON - My word "Faith" is actually my word of the year for my grandson Jackson Paslay who has autism and my faith is he will handle whatever life throws at him and so far so good. He is my heart.

I used a piece of cardstock with words on it and letter stencils painted in craft smart premium satin in Pacific Coast. Satin paint is a joy to work with. Stamped over the paint with a circle stamp in black. Used my white Signo Uniball pen to do the dots on the arrow and the stamp images. This page was a joy to do. Thanks for looking.
* * * * * * * * * * * *

BETTY RICHARDSON - Nothing shows or says "love" to me like RESPECT.  The respect we give, the respect we earn.  And tying in with my focus word of the year (simplify), I really made this one rather simple.  Created on a recycled junk mail, extra-large postcard as a tip in for my journal.  Black acrylic background, circle stencils "ghosted" with a touch of white acrylic  and a cosmetic sponge, and then one big pop of red acrylic. To me the circles represent the joining of hearts and the red, of course, love.  Hand lettered with a bold, white Signo Uniball pen.  I intend to coat this with some matte medium but wanted to let it dry really, really good first.  Sorry the black didn't photograph that well, but it is a nice, dark and rich color.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

MELODY ELZY - My "one word" is PASSION.  Created with red cadmium deep red hue, Quin magenta, gesso, titanium white and washi tape. Spread with a spatula and accented with the edge of a gift card.  I chose this word because I am passionate about creating art.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

So there you have 4 different words, four different expressions of love.  Show us your one word expression of love by posting to our February photo album at Artful Journeys.  Remember to add a brief description of your process and mediums used and the post will automatically show up on the group feed.

Keeping it artful,

14 DAYS OF LOVE - DAY #7

A week down, one week to go!  Aren't you feeling especially loved and loving doing all these prompts?

TODAY'S PROMPT:  USE SWIRLY WRITING

I know, I know..... more writing.  But it is good to practice your creative writing so that you can improve and perfect your style, create new styles and perhaps new writing techniques.

Letter a simple little quote, or perhaps just write out the entire alphabet in a swirly style.  Write a real letter in a swirly or flourish style then add it to a journal page.  Make up your own style of swirly writing.  Use this writing in a creative way on a postcard that you have a wonderful background for, just waiting for some words, or add some swirly writing to a journal page you have already prepared that is just begging for some words.  Letter a lot. Letter a little. Use a paintbrush to create your swirly writing, or use a paint pen.  Try something different!  You have to be the guide and your muse will show you the way.

Melody and Lynn had to skip this prompt due to other commitments, but here's Betty's and Tamie's contributions to today's prompt!

* * * * * * * * * * * * *

TAMIE RODRIGUEZ WILSON - Tamie created this gem on a 4x6" lined index card using spray inks, crayons as a resist, stencils and Gelatos.  Fun, fast and wicked lovely.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

BETTY RICHARDSON - For today's prompt, I did a kind of quickie postcard. I painted some reclaimed cardboard with a thin coat of gesso, then scraped on Flag Red, Real Red and Cranberry craft acrylic.  I used a border flourish that had some cute little swirls and the scribble heart stamp that I received in happy mail from Holly Jungman Woolsey.  Lettering done with a bold Signo Uniball pen in white.  Edges finished with Special Black Copic marker.

Remember to share your creations with us at Artful Journeys.  If you would, please add them to the February photo album with a brief description.  This will make them auto-post to the group feed.

Break those pens out, and get creative with your swirly writing!

14 Days of Love - Day #6

Day 6 is here!  Tick-tock, the time is flying by already.  Today's prompt should prove to be challenging and fun and easily worked into your journal.

Our prompt for today:  USE HEARTS AS BORDERS

You can use doodle hearts, stamped hearts, punch cuts, tissue paper hearts, any 'ole hearts that you can think of to make your page both pleasing and creative.

Take a look at our interpretations of this prompt and hopefully you will find some inspiration or perhaps a new path to go down to represent this prompt.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

MELODY ELZY -  This was done on a background in my large Dylusions journal. Just some medium magenta acrylic by Liquitex , a makeup sponge and some punchinella. Since I'm planning on using this spread for actual journaling and not art, I wanted to keep my border simple. I flipped the punchinella over when I was done with a section and rubbed over it with the heel of my hand to get the paint off that side as well.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

LYNN JACKSON - Day 5...This page is in my Canson art journal. Bought a new tube of paint called Craft-Smart Premium Satin in the color of pacific coast and boy that paint was a joy to work with. It went on really well. On the border I used a handmade heart stencil and put the hearts all the way around the page. Cut out some hearts and put 3 on the page. I spread some of the Pacific Coast paint over some of the hearts. I think it gives it a dreamy quality; at least softer!  This was a fun prompt. I hope you ladies give it a try.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

TAMIE RODRIGUEZ WILSON - Today I am using a 4x6" lined Index card. We don't always have to make things in our journal right away, and I can tip this in later or even next year!  I used my new stencil of the Skull (that everyone knows I love!) with just waterered down black acrylic paint. Used some stickers of hearts and black pen, them I took a purple Papermate Ink Joy pen and went around the black dots. Used a white and pink paint marker to add some dots. The flags are from a new stencil as well. I just wrote some lovey words with a white pen, then used some brads to apply my ribbon.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

BETTY RICHARDSON - I did a few different things in response to this prompt.  The first was a little spread in my Graphique pocket journal that I use quite frequently for documentation, experimentation, quickie doodles, sketches and the like.  I wanted to see how many different kinds of heart borders I could come up with to use on future work.  I used a .05 Micron pen and Sakura Glaze pens and Prismacolor pencils.

As you can see, I came up with several different variations in using hearts as borders.

This page is in my large Dylusions journal.  I received some awesome steampunk-y stamped images in happy mail from the talented Delores Miller and knew that I wanted to use them along with some fabulous sheet music from our own Lynn Jackson that came with my birthday present in September. Music and Valentine's Day goes together, right?  I rarely, if ever, lean towards steampunk, although I do love it, but I don't have any stamps and bits of my own--other than what others have generously shared with me.  So I tried to create the feeling of an "antique" page by first tearing all around the edges of two pages of sheet music. Applied to the journal with fluid matte medium, and smoothed out with my palette knife so there wouldn't be any bubbles or wrinkles.

So then, in comes some lovely tissue paper with big, bold hearts.  I cut that into strips and applied all around the edges with fluid matte medium.  Blast with the heat gun.

I applied a thin layer of gesso with the edge of a gift card, then used 3 shades of Apple Barrel craft acrylic in Khaki, Cinnamon Brown and Taupe along with DecoArts Honey Brown and began dabbing all around and all over the page, covering the hearts here and there as I went along to give them some "age".  They were pretty bright red, and after I applied them, I decided it was too bright. So I dulled them up!  I smoothed some areas with the sponge and others I left "dappled".  I thought it was looking pretty good.

I fussy cut out the designs I wanted to use and while my sponge was still damp with paint, I smudge painted them as well.  I then used a Micron .02, Sakura pen in black, and a fine line Sharpie to add back in some of the image details.  They were glued to the page with good 'ole Elmers Glue.

I applied some black and white washi tape, and highlighted parts with my Signo Uniball pen. I felt the washi was too bold so I "schmeared" some taupe paint over it with my finger and smoothed with the cosmetic sponge.  Much better.

While I was making this page, my mind wandered far, far away to a time long ago to one of the first loves of my life.  My heart felt full, and I smiled.  Sadly, this person has passed on, so it is just a sweet memory.

So, with that sweet memory, I created the saying "A fleeting thought of a long lost love can still make the heart smile."  Hand lettered with a Micron .08 black pen.

"A fleeting thought of a long lost love can still make the heart smile"

And here is the whole, finished two page spread.  I hope you like it as much as I do, and enjoy making your page with heart borders"  as much as I did.  Thanks for stopping by! ~~ Betty

14 Days of Love - Day #5

Day 5 has arrived!  How are you coming along?  Are you keeping up?  Plan to catch up over the weekend?  So far this has been so much fun, and we certainly hope you agree.  Spreading love, one day at a time warms the heart.

Today's Prompt is an art prompt:  USE HEARTS AS BALLOONS!

Don't balloons bring a happy smile to your face?  Who would think some rubbery-plastic stuff  or some mylar sheets filled with helium could make the heart sing so wildly?  Add in some fancy, curly ribbons and you have won hearts for sure!  Don't you bring bright, happy balloons to a sick friend? Send them for special occasions?  Take them to your momma just to see her smile?

Reflect that love on  your journal page today.  Float them in the air, maybe ride on one, draw them, paint them, stick them on with some embroidery floss or fancy ribbon.  However you express yourself today will surely make you and someone else very happy!

Have a look at our interpretations of this prompt.  Are you smiling yet?

* * * * * * * * * * * *

TAMIE RODRIGUEZ WILSON

Tamie has her art mojo back on today, and created this whimsical page that is just adorable and very Tamie-esque.   The background is three shades of acrylic blues and teals over a lightly gessoed 4x6" index card. The girl is from a collage sheet by Crafty Button Designs.  I did add some more color to her with Posca marker pens. The heart stamp is a freebie I got from Viva Las Vegas Stamps that  I colored in with gel pens, Stampin' Pastels and Papermate Joy Ink Pens, outlined with a black Posca marker pen. Used my new Faber Castell Stamper's Big White Pen (Love it!) and added black dots with Posca marker pen.  Isn't she just adorable?

* * * * * * * * * * * *

BETTY RICHARDSON - Gosh I had fun with this prompt, and amazingly, it all came together in less than an hour.  The vintage ballerina image was the cover on a Victorian Trading Company catalog that came in the mail.  I cut around all the logos and advertising and glued it into my 9x12" Canson mixed media journal with ordinary Elmer's school glue that I scraped on smoothly before applying, and then used a clean gift card and scraped the front of the image to make sure there wouldn't be any wrinkles or bubbles.

I knew I wanted to try and match the background colors as closely as I could so I used a combination of Apple Barrel craft acrylics in White, Kiwi and Khaki, applied with a cosmetic sponge in color layers, and then by mixing and blending the colors onto the background image to give it a soft "painted" finish.  Being as impatient as I am, I zapped it with the trusty heat gun.  The match turned out pretty well I thought, and that ballerina just popped off the page.  Yay!  Then I cut some 1/4" wide strips of watercolor paper out of some scrap and lettered my saying, "She loved feeling loved" and outlined the words with a black Sakura Gelly Pen and colored with E55 Light Camel Copic marker.  As an afterthought, I added the yarn in a swirly pattern to to the top and bottom of the page, tying in the colors of her tutu.  This also served to partially obscure the bottom edge of the clipping which didn't blend very well.  I added the "heart" balloons that I had that were some kind of felt stickers I got a few years go, along with some red and white baker's twine.  I think I successfully covered up that cigarette she was smoking!

I hope you like her.  She makes me smile.  Sorry some of the glue was still wet when I photographed her.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

LYNN JACKSON- Lynn got her "bling" on today in a big way!  She cut a 6x6" brown craft card stock then cut 3 hearts and added bling to make them look like balloons.  She was kinda trying to twist them so they looked like they were flying. White pen for the lines and a little Washi tape. On the hearts was some bling received in a mail art swap. This prompt was a lot of fun to complete.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

MELODY ELZY -  Working in my small Dylusions journal I first created my background by putting down some light blue and whit acrylic paint using a wider paint brush. Then I used some hi flow acrylic with a water brush to create a wash of "sunlight" from above. My hears were cut from a larger piece of underpaper and glued down. I then drew strings to turn the hearts into balloons. I found the quote on Pinterest.

14 Days of Love - Day #4

As we continue on our artful journey of 14 Days of Love, today we are going to have you really think and reflect.  And write.  And of course art.

Your prompt for today is both an art AND a journaling prompt.

WHAT DOES LOVE MEAN TO YOU?

Creating art in our journals is something we love to do.  Digging deep and writing is a little more difficult for some of us.  Combing both can be a challenge.  Writing in your journals (yes, actual journaling) makes you stop and reflect on some of your innermost thoughts.  It makes you document your feelings and emotions.  It helps your actual writing practice. Write in long flowy sentences with all the descriptive adjectives you want.  Or maybe you like to write in a staccato style, maybe using bullet points just to highlight specific thought processes or in such a way as to be a reminder to you of a particular thought.

Perhaps you want to journal on a journaling card and tuck it into a cute tarted up envelope, away from prying eyes.  You know it is there.  Maybe you write all over the page then cover it up with paint, perhaps letting a few keywords peek through and become part of the art you create on top of it.

However you decide to proceed, it will become something you look back on and remember those thought processes it took to do the writing; the emotions that filled your heart; or maybe the gentle tears that slowly dripped down your cheek.  Emotion. Love.  Always fulfilling, no matter how we say it.
~Betty

BETTY RICHARDSON

Today's page in my Canson Mixed Media Journal has a surprise.  I dug really deep today for the writing part of this prompt.  I had some things I really wanted to express, but in a more private kind of way.

My background was created using Liquitex Basics Acrylics and Apple Barrel craft acrylics in assorted pink tones and hues utilizing the scraping method--both with a credit card and my palette knife until I had the color mix I liked.  I also did just a little dry brushing with my favorite filbert brush.

The heart was created from a reclaimed priority mail envelope that I gessoed and then applied a script background stamp, different shades of pink to and then cut into a large, freehand heart.  Outlined with Special Black Copic Marker and a Sharpie marker.  I painted up some deli paper with some pink and magenta and applied it to the backside of the heart, just to cover up the priority mail printing and trimmed it to size.

NOW FOR THE SURPRISE -- I turned the heart into a "cover" over the top of my journaling, which was all done with a white Sakura Gelly Pen.  I just traced the heart outline and then did all my journaling inside those lines.  I selected a really pretty, sparkly brad, a flower & heart punch cut that I had previously received in a happy mail package.  I used a small handheld hole punch and then just assembled the brad, flower & heart onto my big heart and poked em all through the page.  Voila!  I can tip that heart open and read a year from now (or years) just what I was thinking on this day.  And the overall page still has a nice, cohesive and orderly look to it (yes, my OCD is still kicking in).

I had fun doing this prompt, and I really ended up liking the fact that I focused on my writing (and my penmanship) and thought about all the things I really, truly love about love.  I hope maybe my page will inspire you!

* * * * * * * * * * * *
TAMIE WILSON -- Tamie's mojo is still gearing toward the doodling thing on this prompt.  There is nothing more expressive of love than FAMILY and this clearly says it all.  Tamie used pink and purple acrylics on a lined 4x6 index card and some paint markers to create this reminder that Family is Everything.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

Melody and Lynn had other commitments today but may be adding their inspiration to the group feed later.

Remember to share your images for everyone's viewing pleasure by posting to the February Photo Album with a brief description of your process/materials.  Doing so will cause the image to auto-post to the group feed!

We can't wait to see your creations!

Stay artful!
